1646 (5 February) resolution of council headed "At a Councell of Warr holden at Downe".

Document orders "that if any Alarum shalbee given by the Enemy at any Garrison within this Island of Lecayle that forthwith upon sound of Trumpett or Beat of Drummes all the horse and ffoote as alsoe, the Inhabitants within the said Garrison shall repayre to the Rendezvous which shalbee appointed by the Commander of the said Garrison with their best Armes upon payne of death, and that the weomen within the same shall fynd Candles for the souldiers to seeke their Armes".

Some wear to page though perfectly sound and a dramatic document.
