1842-51 a selection with two 1/- rate paid in cash: 1842 (1 May) entire to London marked "Registered Letter No. 203" bearing 1d. plate 15, RJ-RK pair tied by black Maltese Cross on entire to London with Doncaster despatch and London arrival d.s. alongside; 1843 (17 Apr.) entire to Yeovil bearing 1841 1d. red-brown (2) cancelled by black Maltese Cross, marked "Registered Letter 61" and with an oily strike of Charing Cross Paid Maltese Cross d.s.; 6d. rate paid in cash (6) with five to Captain Albany of the 46th Regiment in Leeds or Bradford, from the Paymaster in London, each bearing 1841 1d. re-brown tied by London Numeral, marked "Registered Letter" and most sent "O.H.M.S."; with 1849 (18 Dec.) commercial wrapper to Bradford bearing 1841 1d. red-brown ) tied by a neat strike of "466" numeral and marked "Registered" in red ink with number "228" and rate "6" in the same ink. Adhesives touched in places though generally fine and a good group.
