Horatio Smith: 1844 a hand-coloured envelope featuring Britannia and illustrations of world trade with the banner heading "free trade with all the world" and addressed "A poem by Horatio Smith"/ with the original autograph enclosure featuring his Free Trade poem, signed and dated "Brighton, June 1844" and certified underneath by J.N. Goulty, the chairman of the Brighton anti-corn Law League. Minor paper split to the enclosure, otherwise fine. A rare and appealing cover. Photo
