A141, 1840 (23 July) to Reading cancelled by an oily strike of red Maltese Cross with Teignmouth despatch c.d.s. at foot and large manuscript "2". The envelope has been hand-coloured and with some humorous embellishments including glasses on the elephants and some added tails; one flap has repaired tears and one corner reinforcements. R.P.S. Certificate (2022) which states, "No obvious reason for the manuscript 2 charge mark. Photo
