1746-1859 a collection of Leeds postmarks and postal history in album which includes 1746 entire to Queen's Bounty, Westminster with straight-line leeds, 1836 "Cash Letter" from Tunbridge Wells and rated "2/9" in red ink, different types of oval "paid/at/leeds" with duplicates, a selection of Uniform Penny Post covers, framed and unframed Leeds Penny Post handstamps, one underpaid with tax handstamps, a selection of straight-line receiving offices in shades of blue, a very useful selection of undated village circular postmarks, mostly in blue with large and small open circles plus some others. A very good collection and ideal for a student of the postal history of city of Leeds. Also Yorkshire 'Cross Hills' selection on cover (7) from 1825 straight line to 1840s double ring. (c.100 covers total.)
