John of Hereford, Penny, Local Dies Issues, Hereford, + IOIA[...]NNI crowned and mantled bust right, lys-tipped sceptre before, rev. + DE [......] HE:R:E, short cross moline with inverted fleurs in angles, 0.981g [15.14grns], 12h [?] (EMC 2017.0333 this coin; G C Boon, "A Second Coin in the Name of John from the Wenallt Find", SNC, October 1987, p. 253; North -; S -), slightly off-struck, crimped and on a concave flan, otherwise of sound metail, struck details very fine, extremely rare, and a most intriguing issue worthy of further numismatic scholarship!
