Iron Age Britain, Catuvellauni, Cunobelin (AD 9-40), AV Stater, 'Linear' Series, Camulodunum (Colchester), corn ear with central stalk, CA to left, MV to right, cross privy mark below A, pellet over M, rev. horse right, ladder mane (weak), branch above with pellet either side, CVN below, 5.417g [83.60grns], 7h (J Plouviez [November 1990] Somerton SMT003, 'Batch B', no. 12 = Burnett [BNJ, 1994], Pl. 12, no. 6 this coin; Allen dies H/-; VA 1925; BMC 1772ff.; Mack 210; S.282; ABC 2774), with slight pitting and die cudding the fields, nevertheless with crisp lettering on a broad rose-gold flan, very fine or bolder
