Iron Age Britain, Catuvellauni, Cunobelin (AD 9-40), AV Stater, 'Wild A' Series, Camulodunum (Colchester), corn ear dividing CA-MV, with central stalk, rev. classically-styled horse prancing right, dashes for mane, CVNO below, 5.47g [84.42grns], 11h (J Plouviez [November 1990] Somerton SMT003, 'Batch C', no. 28 = Burnett [BNJ, 1994], Pl. 12, no. 11 this coin; Allen, dies B/c; VA 1931; BMC 1784ff.; Mack 211; S.283; ABC 2777), minor striking fissures and the reverse slightly off-centre, but the legend clear, otherwise a pleasing very fine
