Spry of his Majesty's Ship Chester at Portsmouth", endorsed "On His Majy Service" and "Admty Office", signed "Tho: Corbett"; 1796 (23 Sept.) entire letter from H.M.S. 'Russell' to London, the reverse with straight line "yarmouth n" and single ring d.s., contents cover recruitment in Manchester; also 1798 (23 Oct.) entire letter from Colonel Ballingale in Inverkeithing to London, the reverse with double line "inver/kithin" and single ring d.s. Interesting.
