1652 (24 Jan.) entire letter from Londonderry with address panel reading "To the right Honorable the Committee of the Navy for the Commonwealth of England, These Humble Persons", signed Thomas Newburgh and Robert Parsle; interesting contents include "The Providence Frigett being sent unto these parts, under the Command of Captain John Peirce, for ... the bringing of soldiers, Clothes, Ammunition and Victuals unto the Army employed upon the states service within the Province of Connaught and also to stay and attend the clearing the seas of this place, Province of Connaught from Robbers was in the Month of August last, reduced to a great straight for want of Money to Victual his ship ... We therefore finding the convenience of this gentleman the bearer of Mr. John Zachary an Officer in the Stores at this place. A scarce early letter privately carried by John Zachary.
