4c. black on blue cut octagonally, small to good margins, initialled "E.D.W.", cancelled by coded d.s. for Oct. 16 1856. Some usual faults including creasing, thinning and surface rubbing, still an exhibition example for this rarity, of which only about twelve used examples are known. One of the rarest stamps of British Guiana and a great rarity of worldwide philately. S.G. 26, £150,000. Photo
