12c. black on indigo, Townsend Type B (Robson Lowe Type C), initialled "E.D.W.", cut to shape and cut into the round frameline at places, cancelled by Demerara double-arc d.s. for Nov. 14 1851. Minor thinning not affecting the overall appearance. The rarest shade of the 12 cents, with only eleven examples recorded according to Townsend, most of them used at Berbice. S.G. 6II, £14,000.
