(x) NGC AU | Anne (1702-1714), Post-Union, Five-Guineas, 1713 DVODECIMO, 'J type 1' in date, second 'coarser' diademed and draped bust left, rev. crowned broader shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, eight strings to harp, raised letters + • DECVS • ET • TVTAMEN • ANNO • REGNI • DVODECIMO [•] downwards on edge, 41.800g [645.07grns], 6h (Murdoch II, 839; Schneider II, 531/-; King 148; Stratos 195; MCE 203; EGC I, 452 [R2]; S.3568), lightly haymarked and wiped across otherwise lustrous fields, with hints of residual orange hue, a supremely crisp and uniform striking, a pleasingly bold extremely fine, truly rare in this exemplary state; the date scarcely encountered in commerce, in NGC Black 'Pallas' holder, fairly graded Almost Uncirculated ~ Harshly Cleaned (Cert. #8534311-018)
