(x) NGC XF40 | George II (1727-1760), Five-Guineas, 1735 NONO, GEORGIVS II DEI GRATIA, younger laureate head left, rev. crowned garnished shield, nine strings to harp, raised letter DECVS ET TVTAMEN ANNO REGNI NONO downwards on edge, 41.713g [643.73grns], 6h (MCE 282; Schneider II, 559; King 165 [7 Listed]; EGC I, 556; GH 85; S.3663A), rubbed but residually lustrous with hints of attractive reddish tone, about very fine, the reverse better, an exceptionally rare date, the first to be offered in these rooms since the fabled Samuel King sale of 2005, in NGC Black 'Pallas' holder, graded XF40 (Cert. #8534311-019)
