(x) NGC VF35 | William III, Solus (1694-1702), Five-Guineas, 1699 UNDECIMO, GVLIELMVS III DEI GRA, laureate head right, plain below by truncation, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, raised letter +• DECVS • ET • TVTAMEN • • ANNO • REGNI • UNDECIMO • upwards on edge, with a lower case U in UNDECIMO; an inverted N in TVTAMEN; and blocked Vs resembling "inverted As", 41.583g [641.72grns], 5h (Schneider II, 478; King 134-135; Stratos -; MCE 169; EGC I, 394; GH 58; S.3454), lightly bagmarked with rub to portrait, residually lustrous, about very fine, the reverse bolder and surprisingly rare, the first to be offered in these rooms in over a decade, in NGC Black 'Pallas' holder, graded VF35 (Cert. #8534311-014)
