Four: Stoker Petty Officer C. Dodge, Royal Navy, who served at the Battle of Jutland aboard H.M.S. Acasta

Charles Dodge was born at Portsmouth in June 1885 and had previous service with the R.N.A.S. when he joined the Royal Navy in September 1911.

During the Great War, Dodge served as a Leading Stoker on H.M.S. Acasta, Gibraltar and Acacia amongst others. He was serving on Acasta at Jutland where she was part of the 4th Destroyer Flotilla and made a torpedo attack on Hipper's flagship, Lutzow. Acasta was hit in the engine room and suffered several casualties.

Dodge was shore pensioned in May 1928; sold together with copied service papers.
