Robert Brown was born circa 1885 and joined the Royal Artillery upon the outbreak of the First World War, disembarking at the Front with the 30th Brigade Royal Field Artillery on 19 August 1914. He was admitted to the Catterick Military Hospital on 18 December 1917 after suffering a gunshot wound to the lower part of his right thigh, at which time Brown was 32 years old; sold together with copied research.
