Jack Frederick Ross was born on 24 June 1930 at Fullarton, South Australia. Commencing his service on 18 February 1952, he was based on Cerberus in Sydney. Later serving on Culgoa between 13 September 1952 - 15 April 1954 seeing service in the Korean theatre, he completed his service on 7 February 1958.
