Leslie Oswald Sherwood was born at Johannesburg on 12 September 1913 and enlisted in the South African Air Force as an Air Mechanic Fitter on 30 December 1940. Apart from service in Korea he spent the Second World War at home in South Africa; sold together with extensive copied research and copy photograph of Sherwood.
