Chihuahua-Parral 2r. Yellow, 4th Period, consignment 169-1865, Parral overprint, clear to mainly good margins, on entire letter cancelled by Parral h.s. on March 16, 1866; filing creases not affecting the stamp. According to the Pietsch census, the 2r. records six singles and five covers. 2024 MEPSI certificate. Scott 23; NF $600 as single off-cover.

Note: Most stamps from this district do not have the district overprint and were not used, as the Juárez forces controlled this state for most of the time. Chihuahua City and five sub-offices applied their own overprint, which makes used stamps with overprints extremely rare.
