1864 "Eagles" Issue
Chihuahua 2r. Yellow, 4th Period, consignment 169-1865, good margins all around, used on piece, showing Chihuahua overprint and corresponding cancellation. Only one example and one cover are registered in the Pietsch census. 2024 MEPSI certificate. Scott 23; NF$300 with the sub-office overprint.

Note: Most stamps from this district do not have the district overprint and were not used, as the Juárez forces controlled this state for most of the time. Chihuahua City and five sub-offices applied their own overprint, which makes used stamps with overprints extremely rare.
