Chihuahua 2r. Yellow, 4th Period, consignment 169-1865, with Chihuahua overprint on pristine entire letter, cancelled on January 16, 1866, light filing crease not affecting the stamp. The Pietsch-census only registers two singles and two covers for the 2r. value 2024 MEPSI certificate. Scott 23.

Note: Most stamps from this district do not have the overprint and were not used, as the Juárez forces controlled this state for most of the time. Chihuahua City and five sub-offices applied their own overprint, which makes used stamps with overprints extremely rare.
