1856 Issue
Zacatecas Manuscript Overprint 1r. Yellow and 2r. Green, group of four items including a well-margined 2r. on cover from Aguascalientes to San Luis Potosí, dated December 27, 1858, one 1r. off cover, two pieces including one with three 1r. singles, the other with 1r. and 2r. Margins are mostly good, though some stamps are touching or cut into at the bottom. As the Conservatives were about to take Zacatecas, the postmaster left the city and temporarily relocated to Aguascalientes; he brought the stamps but not the overprinting device, resulting in all the stamps being overprinted manually.
