1900 (4 May) envelope to Manchester, bearing seriffed overprint Cape 3d. on 1d. vertical pair [3], single [4] and sans-serif Bechuanaland Protectorate 3d. on 1d., all clearly tied by Mafeking c.d.s., showing manuscript "1/-" and initials applied by John Nevett, Base Train clerk at Lobatsi and, on reverse, part Bulawayo and arrival (23.6) datestamps, carried to Southampton by the "Dunvegan Castle"; the envelope with part flap missing and light creases.
