1856 (13 May) envelope ex the Barlow correspondence to Georgetown, bearing two 4c. black on magenta (one just touched at right), initialled "E.D.W." for postal clerk Wight, paying the double rate, clearly tied by Demerara double-arc d.s., with another neat strike on reverse. According to our records, the only recorded cover displaying two examples, making it the largest franking known, out of fewer than fifteen recorded covers bearing this stamp. In addition, boasting a very attractive quality above the norm, and being one of five covers known bearing cut-square examples of this stamp. S.G. 24. Photo
