The "Ferrary" and "Burrus" 12 Cents Pair
12c. black on blue Type B horizontal pair with almost clear outer framelines (left stamp cut into slightly), initialled "E.D.W.", cancelled by Demerara double-arc d.s. for 25 April 1851; tiny thins at foot between stamps and sealed tear at left, of very little significance, since only about fifteen examples of this value -cut square or cut round- and one pair are sound. Only four 12 cents pairs are recorded in private hands, three of which have faults. S.G. 5II. Photo
