William and Mary (1688-1694), Maundy Coins (7), Fourpence, stop after D G, conjoined laureate heads right, GV below truncation, rev. re-entered 16 in date, crowned mark of value, edge plain (ESC 1869A; Bull 885; S.3439), rubbed but residually lustrous and colourfully toned, a bolder fine; another, Penny, 1690, as before (ESC 2300; Bull 970; S.3445), lightly toned, very fine; also, Threepence, 1690, '9 over 6', GVL below truncation, 1.59g, 7h (ESC 1989B; Bull 925; S.3441), very lightly flecked, otherwise a delightful cabinet specimen, toned, a really pleasingly good very fine; also, Twopence, 1691, as before, 1.03g, 6h (ESC 2197; Bull 945; S.3443), colourfully cabinet toned and lustrous, a pleasingly good very fine; additionally, Fourpence, 1692, as before, but second busts, with tie to wreath, 1.95g, 6h (ESC 1872; Bull 889; S.3440), rubbed and toned, fine; and, Threepence, 1691, as last, GVL below truncation and V over inverted V, (ESC 1990A; Bull 928; S.3442), lightly flecked but richly cabinet toned and lustrous, very fine, an interesting variety; lastly, Twopence, 1694, GVLI below truncation, rev. HI for HIB, 1.05g, 6h (ESC 2203; Bull 955; S.3443), heavily ghosted, otherwise richly cabinet toned and struck-up, a bolder very fine, scarce (7)
