William and Mary (1688-1694), Maundy Coins, 1689 (3), Fourpence, stop before G of D G, conjoined laureate heads right, G below truncation, rev. re-entered A in MAG, crowned mark of value, edge plain (ESC 1866; Bull 878; S.3439), rubbed and toned, good fine; another, Threepence, GVL below truncation, inverted A for second V in GVLIELMVS, as before, rev. Arabic 1 in date, M of MAG above crown, with hyphen stops in legend (ESC -; Bull 916), light scratches and flecking, otherwise cabinet toned, very fine; lastly, Twopence, continuous legend, re-entered GV below bust, otherwise as before (ESC 2196; Bull 943), lightly flecked on reverse, otherwise richly cabinet toned and lustrous, a pleasingly bold very fine; all rare and the key date of series (3)
