(m.m.) • CHRISTO • AVSPICE • REGNO • square-topped shield over cross moline with larger fleurs, 5.741g, 6h, m.m. triangle [over anchor with rounded flukes right on obverse only] (Brooker 530-531/533; Sharp F5/2; North 2230; S.2797), historically cleaned with scratches and porosity, otherwise struck details largely fine; another, as last, but from newly prepared dies, thus reading • CAROLVS • D .' G .' MAG .' BRI .' FRA .' ET • HIB .' REX • 5.973g, 10h, m.m. triangle (Brooker 532/533; Sharp F5/2; North 2230; S.2797), lustrous and pleasantly cabinet toned, approaching very fine (2)
