ROSA : SINE : SPINA, beaded inner circle only, crowned and draped bust 3G left, smaller rose behind head, rev. (m.m.) CIVITAS LONDON, beaded inner circle only, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 15-69 above shield, 0.688g, 6h, m.m. coronet (BCW CN-1/CN-c; North 2000; S.2569), slightly off-struck on reverse, and with striking weakness to portrait, otherwise a bolder fine / very fine, with colourful cabinet hues, rare; another, medium flan, 11.5mm., 1572, as before, 15-72 above shield, 0.721g, 8h, m.m. ermine (BCW ER-2/ER-b; North 2000; S.2569), crimped and waterworn, otherwise residually lustrous, toned, fair / scarcely fine, rare; lastly, 1573, as before, 15-73 above shield, 0.832g, 2h, m.m. acorn (BCW AC-1/AC-b; North 2000; S.2569), a striking little coin, some softness, otherwise uniformly struck up on a neat round flan, darkly cabinet toned, very fine, the reverse with much underlying lustre, rare (3)
