Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Third and Fourth Issues, Threehalfpences, 1561, Tower (2), large flan, 12.5mm., (m.m.) E .' D .' G .' ROSA .' SINE .' SPINA .' beaded inner circle only, crowned and draped bust 3G left, smaller rose behind head, rev. (m.m.) CIVITAS LONDON, beaded inner circle only, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 15-61 above shield, 0.618g, 10h, m.m. pheon (BCW BA-1/BA-a2; North 2000; S.2568), multiple flan splits and historic creasing, otherwise beautifully cabinet toned and residually lustrous, about very fine, a pretty coin; another, small flan, 10.5mm., similar, larger rose, rev. shield over long cross fourchée, 0.858g, 8h, m.m. pheon (BCW BA-3A/BA-c2; North 2000; S.2567), with a rich dark cabinet tone with much underlying lustre, a most pleasing very fine, an equally remarkable little coin (2)
