Henry VIII, Posthumous Issues, temp. Edward VI, Groat, 1547-1551, Canterbury, Roman lettering, larger crowned bust three-quarters facing right, rev. CIVITAS CANTOR, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, broken annulets in forks, 2.326g, 4h, no m.m. (North 1875; S.2408), struck in a baser fabric and once crimped and straightened, otherwise toned with residual lustre, on a pleasingly neat round flan, largely fine; also, Halfgroat, 1547-1551, Southwark, Roman lettering, legend ending RE, larger crowned bust three-quarters facing right, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, broken annulets in forks, 1.027g, 6h, no m.m. (North 1878; S.2411), rubbed and toned, on a baser fabric, fine / near very fine; lastly Base Penny, 1547-1551, Tower, crowned bust three-quarters facing right, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 0.567g, 2h, no m.m. (North 1883; S.2418), lightly toned on a baser fabric but on a full flan, a really bold fine (3)
