Edward VI, Groat, 1547-1551, Tower, Lombardic lettering, larger fourth crowned bust three-quarters facing right, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 2.167g, 8h, m.m. lys (North 1871; S.2403), in baser fabric, toned with minor striking splits, otherwise fair at centres, bolder fine at peripheries; Posthumous Issue, Groat, 1547-1551, Tower, Roman lettering, smaller third crowned bust, as before, 2.565g, 4h, m.m. martlet (North 1871; S.2403), struck in a baser fabric with uneven detailing, about fine; lastly, Halfgroat, 1547-1551 Tower, Roman lettering, as before, 1.021g, 12h, m.m. arrow (North 1878; S.2410), ragged edge, otherwise cabinet toned and uniform for strike, bolder than fine for issue (3)
