[trefoil] REX, Roman lettering, crowned 'Holbeinesque' bust facing, rev. (m.m.) CIVITAS BRISTOLIE crowned Tudor rose, flanked by crowned cypher, 7.300g [112.656grns], 12h, m.m. WS (Hawkins -; North 1843; S.2368), on a most pleasingly neat round flan, with minor striking fissures to edge, otherwise superbly struck up for type with a fearsome Holbeinesque portrait, a really pleasingly bold very fine, very rare in this excellent grade
