Edward IV, First Reign (1461-1470), Light Coinage, Groat, 1465-1470, crowned bust facing, quatrefoils by neck, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, additional pellet in first quarter under DON, 2.870g, 9h, m.m. sun (North 1567; S.2000), rubbed and slightly creased, otherwise cabinet toned, a bolder fine; another, similar, no additional pellet, 2.822g, 12h, m.m. sun (North 1569; S.2000), in excavated state, historically scuffed and clipped, otherwise toned, largely fine; another, 1465-1470, similar, rev. additional pellet in second quarter under CIVI, 2.596g, 5h, m.m. sun/rose (North 1569; S.2000), rubbed and scuffed, but cabinet toned, fine / good fine; another, 1466-1469, London, as second, 2.816g, 10h, m.m. crown (North 1570; S.2000), uneven strike with clashed dies, otherwise of full flan, with underlying cabinet tone, fine or marginally better; additionally, Second Reign, Groats, London, 1471-1472, m.m. large annulet (2), as first, but reading DEI GRA, roses by neck, 2.880g, 2h (North 1631; S.2097), slight roughness to fields, otherwise colourfully cabinet toned, a bolder fine; lastly, as before, 2.999g, 2h (North 1631; S.2096), historic scratches in fields, otherwise cabinet toned, strictly fine / good fine, but wholesome (6)
