Edward IV, First Reign (1461-1470), Heavy Coinage, Groat, 1464, Class IIIe, London, crowned bust facing, quatrefoils at neck, trefoil on cusp of breast, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, eye after TAS, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 3.908g [60.310grns], 4h, m.m. rose (B&W IIIe; North 1532; S.1976), some small edge splits, otherwise toned, a pleasingly bold very fine, some details of the legend and hair remarkably bold and as issued, the last issue before the Edwardian debasement
