NGC MS62 | *Top Pop* | James I (1603-1625), Third Coinage, Crown Gold Issues, Half-Laurel, 24 June 1620 - 8 June 1621, Tower, (m.m) IACOBVS D : G : MAG : BRI : FRAN : ET HIB : REX, fourth laureate and draped bust left, X value behind, rev. HENRICVS ROSAS REGNA (m.m) IACOBVS, no stops, long cross fleury over large crowned square-topped Royal shield, bird-headed harp with seven strings, 4.55g, 5h, m.m. rose (Lockett 4422 this coin; Schneider II, 90; North 2117; S.2641), some softness in the legends and doubling to the portrait, otherwise crisply struck, a handsome and extremely fine example, in NGC holder, graded MS62 (Cert. #8220522-014) [*Joint Finest Certified*]
