The L'Abbaye Collection: Part Two | George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1734, larger lettering, no extra stop before DEI, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, ten strings to harp, six hearts to semée, roses and plumes in angles, edge obliquely milled, 5h (Pywell-Phillips 334; ESC 1197; Bull 1706; S.3700), attractively toned with streaks of iridescent blue in recesses, a pleasingly good very fine, scarce in this state
