The L'Abbaye Collection: Part Two | George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1735, larger lettering, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, six hearts to semée, roses and plumes in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 335; ESC 1198; Bull 1707; S.3700), the 5 punch filled giving the semblance of an overdate as Bull 1708, otherwise attractively toned and lustrous, a pleasing and bolder very fine
