The L'Abbaye Collection: Part Two | George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1728, E over R in GEORGIVS, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, five hearts to semée, roses and plumes in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6h (Pywell-Phillips -; ESC 1192A; Bull 1697; S.3698), rubbed and lightly toned, strictly fine, the reverse better and the variety clear
