The L'Abbaye Collection: Part Two | Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1683, CAROLVS • II • - DEI • GRATIA, fourth larger laureate and draped bust right, no stop before DEI, rev. no stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, interlocking Cs in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 72; Bull 558 [R2] ~ albeit seven strings not noted; ESC 1065 [R2]; S.3381), adjustment marks before face, with a flaw to uppermost crown on reverse, otherwise lightly rubbed a bolder fine / very fine, scarce
