The Crimea Medal awarded to Private A. William Flemming, 11th Hussars (Prince Albert's Own), who died in the Crimea

Alexander William Fleming/Flemming was born at Woolwich, London, and enlisted for the 11th Hussars in London on 22 August 1854. He joined the regiment in the Crimea on 23 May 1855, taking part in the siege and fall of Sebastopol. He died of diarrhoea at Camp Kadikoi on 26 August 1855, and was buried in the 11th Hussars Cemetery on the road between Kadikoi and Karani.
