(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872 [Die 49] (3), second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 6h, 7.94g; 6h, 7.94g; 6h, 7.94g (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B; MCE 533), the 9 of the die number double struck on all three, all lightly contact marked and with some rub to the hair, more so to the second, the first with the last two digits of the date softly struck, nevertheless all with lustrous legends and reverses, very fine / good very fine (3)
