Frank Rollason was born at Ladywood, Birmingham and enlisted at Birmingham. He served in France from 23 February 1915 and was killed in action at the Battle of Cambrai on the 3 December 1917, whilst serving with the 2nd/5th Bn and is remembered on the Cambrai Memorial, Louveral.

His MIC notes a 1914-15 Star issued with the number 1500 and a separate one with the issue of the pair with number 203295.
