A 'Great War' casualty group of three to Private H. C. Giles, 3rd Bn. Royal Fusiliers

Harold Charles Giles was born at Manchester and joined the Army in 1910 at Hounslow and had served three years in India prior to Great War service. He served in France from 19 January 1915 and died of wounds on the 20 March 1915, serving with the 3rd Bn. He is buried in the Wimereux Communal Cemetery.

His MIC has a note relating to the disposal of medals dated 8 September 1920, this clearly did not happen and there is no reference to a later issue.
