Alfred Peacock was born at Lambeth, South London. He enlists into the King's Royal Rifle Corps on 6 April 1894 but transfers to the Royal West Surrey Regiment on 17 August 1894. He serves in the East Indies between 28 February 1896-2 March 1902 going from there straight to South Africa until 9 August 1902 and then spends his remaining service in the U.K. being discharged on 5 April 1906.
served with the 1st Bn Queen's Regiment in India and the 2nd in South Africa.
