Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., G.V.R. (J.44764 J. C. Webb. A.B. H.M.S. Pembroke), very fine

John Collin Webb was born at Attleborough, Norfolk on 29 June 1899. He joined the Royal Navy as Boy II Class on Ganges on 15 September 1915, transferring to Swiftsure from 13 May 1916-26 April 1917 and Coronado from 9 May-4 December 1918. Having served off the coast of Palestine (Medal & clasp), Webb was shore pensioned on 28 June 1939 but rejoined on 27 August 1939. He served at Wildfire II and served on the Swale Patrol Launches and was finally released on 4 October 1945.
