Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., E.VII.R., (PO.6672 F. W. A. Parkins. Sergt. R.M.L.I.) good very fine

Frederick William Arthur Parkins was born at Portsmouth on 10 October 1874 and enlisted at Eastny on 10 January 1893. Part of the Portsmouth Division he saw service with such vessels as Resolution, Terror and Donegal throughout his career. Having been pensioned on 9 January 1914 Parkins joined the Royal Fleet Reserve on 31 May 1914, briefly returning to the colours he was spared mobilisation on 2 August 1914 and only returned to duty in 1919; sold together with a copied service record.
