Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R. (C. Paterson. Musn. No. 3281 Po R.M.L.I.), very fine

Charles Patterson was born on 7 March 1859 at Kensington and was a Musician by trade. He served in the 2nd Battalion, Liverpool Regiment prior to joining the Royal Marines and is entitled to an Afghanistan Medal 1878-80 without clasp. He joined the Royal Marines on 16 March 1886 and was released on 6 July 1898, latterly serving from 2-4 August 1914.
