William Frederick Clark was born at Ramsgate, Kent on 14 June 1873 and was a builders foreman upon his joining the Royal Navy on 2 August 1914. He had been a member of the Royal Naval Auxiliary Sick Berth Reserve from around 1903. During the Great War Clark served aboard the M.F.A. China from 3 August-19 December 1915, Cyclops from 20 December 1915-17 April 1916 and was awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal on 10 August 1920, having been demobilised ashore in March 1919; sold together with copied research.
